It wasn’t so long ago that I posted an article about how Internet marketing is where your money should be when a comment came to my attention. The comment was both positive and negative, but the negatives are what I will be using in this blog post today.
The comment was as follows:
“Very good article, as I write SEO marketing content for various industries and had to research these areas myself.
May I must make one humble critique. You have several misspellings along with some bad grammar. This is not good. I do not know if you are a native English speaker but if not, have someone check your work before submitting your online content creation. Remember, your work represents the way people will view you.”

This made me think, it may only be one persons opinion but surely there are plenty of other people who feel the same way towards spelling mistakes and grammar issues in blog posts.
The issue behind spelling mistakes and grammar isn’t entirely down to the reader but also the topic itself. If the topic is intended to be serious then it is recommended that spelling and grammar is checked once, twice, three times, more. The reason for this is because your readers are surely to be looking for information more than opinions, and by including yourself within your post your readers will look elsewhere.
This is by no means your own fault, everyone is entitled to their own opinion and by ensuring your post can’t be criticised in any way then you should be okay. Your readers are important to you, so by avoiding any negative feedback about your blog, you will move up in the blogging world rather than down.
