When creating posts through blogging services such as wordpress you may notice that the URL contains a partition of the post title by default. This can affect SEO chances if the title is extremely long because search engine such as Google, Yahoo! and Bing will take into account the excessive use of words and weaken the strength of the URL. This is bad if websites are using a blog to help their search engine optimization chances.
Not to worry though – this problem can be resolved easily through the editing post section of your blogs wordpress admin control panel. You can edit the permalink of your blog posts when creating a new post by clicking “Edit” beside the permalink displayed beneathe the title text box. You can also edit current posts permalinks through the post section of your admin panel but this isn’t recommended as this can break the current links created.
I recommend you aim to cut the permalink down as short as possible if you are trying to aim for a certain keyword as this will give your URL optimum strength.
